Project Child Recovery / Project Teen Recovery

YWCA's Project Child Recovery & Project Teen Recovery (PCR/PTR) is a FREE program for children ages 6-12 years and teens ages 13-17 years who have witnessed violence and may be impacted by traumatic events in their lives (family violence, bullying, grief/loss, separation/divorce, abandonment, foster care).

In PCR/PTR sessions, participants are encouraged to talk about their feelings, explore healthy coping strategies, discover a support system, develop a safety plan and enhance their self-esteem.  Every session is designed to increase the child or teen's sense of belonging and trust. The sessions are facilitated by qualified professionals who assist the participants in healthy
discussion and self-discovery.
